According to reports, a suspension of online Rich & Infamous clothing sales has been made.

Unfortunately, WoooHa can confirm that Snoop’s clothing line, which first launched back in the Summer of 2008, has called it quits for now. Snoop and company have officially suspended all online sales of the clothing company and shut down the Rich & Infamous online store and website. No official plans have been set to relaunch the line or if Snoop plans to permanently shut it down. Fans noticed something was afoot earlier this year when Snoop stopped wearing Rich & Infamous during public appearances and started pushing other brands like Neff Clothing. (WoooHa)

Last year, Snoop said the United States economic crisis hit his apparrel company.

“The recession is affecting everybody,” Snoop said in an interview. “We’re trying to keep it one hundred percent and do what we’re doing and try to keep the prices a little lower. [We’re] trying to keep it cost sufficient for what [we’re] doing.” (Hollyscoop)

The West Coast rapper’s clothing line kicked off in summer 2008.

Snoop has launched fashion label Rich & Infamous, a clothing line that he intends to promote extensively across the various entertainment properties with which he’s involved. That includes featuring the development of the new line in episodes of his reality TV series “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood” on E! and showing off the clothing through product placement in films and musicvideos, with items worn by him and other artists. Co-inspired with brand manager Robert Thorne, the clothing executive previously spoke on the line’s impact on consumers.

“For Snoop Dogg, the name represents a fraternity of sorts, from presidents to gangsters, who’ve been able to endure the burden of gaining wealth at any cost. Garnering equal parts admiration and disdain, these men savor the fruits and relish the spotlight.” (Angry Ape)
