West Coast rap star Snoop Dogg has been chosen to headline the upcoming Langerado Music Festival in Florida next year.
According to Billboard, the seventh annual event will showcase a predominatly rock-based offering with mega bands including Gym Class Heroes, Black Kids, Death Cab For Cutie, Ryan Adams, Girl Talk and more.
“We started out as a jam-oriented festival,” festival producer Evan Schwartz told Billboard. “It’s more exciting for us to put together these lineups every year, because there is so much great music out there.”
Known for drawing in large crowds, last year’s event featured performances by The Roots, Beastie Boys, R.E.M. and other acts. Tickets for the annual venue will be available beginning Friday (Dec 12) via www.Langerado.com. The Langerado Music Festival runs from Friday, March 6 to 8 at Bicentennial Park in Miami.
In related news, Snoop recently kicked off a second season of his hit reality series “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.” The Doggfather has brought back the gang consisting of his wife, Shante, daughter Cori, and his two sons Cordell and Corde.
