Reports suggest the new venture will officially be unveiled this spring.

Smoothly recovering after last weekend’s pot bust, the hip-hop impresario will unveil the new line, Executive Branch, when he headlines Coachella with Dr. Dre in Indio, Calif., April 15. The line’s first product is Executive Branch Cigarillos. They’ll go for 99 cents a pouch, with two cigars per pouch. All the line’s products will be made with premium tobacco from the Dominican Republic — “hand-chosen by Snoop Dogg to ensure the highest quality,” his representative says. Snoop already has his own malt liquor, hot dogs, skateboards, shoes, streetwear, figurines … clearly, it’s only a matter of time before he launches a chain of Dogg-Marts across the country. Snoop has also released a statement confirming the cigar line and his passion for tobacco-based products.

“Throughout my career I have been lucky enough to travel the world and try all different types of tobacco products. During my travels throughout South America and the Caribbean, I was fortunate to encounter this tobacco company, Executive Branch and was so impressed by their commitment to quality [far superior than all others], I knew I had to bring them to the States for all my fans to enjoy,” Snoop Dogg says in a press release. “Throughout 2012, we plan on releasing new styles and flavors, in which I will be working with their team to make sure all products are up to Snoop Dogg standards.” (Billboard)

The news comes just days after Snoop was named as a performer for the upcoming annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The Black Keys, Radiohead, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will headline two weekends of concerts at The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Organizers of the Indio, Calif., music festival on Monday announced a dizzying list of top musicians who are slated to perform over two long weekends, April 13-15 and April 20-22. The six-day concert schedule marks the first time Coachella is to extend over two consecutive weekends. (New York Daily News)

Outside of business moves and music, the rapper-turned-actor displayed his game show hosting talent last week.

Snoop Dogg made one of his patented “Did He Really Do That?!” appearances on Monday with a spot on “The Price is Right,” joining Drew Carey to create what is the greatest hip hop-daytime TV collaborations in history. The rapper played the game first, notching $72,585 for his Snoop Youth Football League (his mind was on the children’s money, this time) and then took a turn doling out the prizes. Apparently, this was a big thrill for him, as he spoke after the show about growing up watching “The Price is Right.” (Huffington Post)
