West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg recently cleared the air on reports which claim Los Angeles police ended his "National Smoke Day" festivities last weekend.
While Snoop admitted cops did try to end things prematurely, he revealed they eventually gave him a pass and allowed the celebration to continue.
“The Police tried to shut the party down. Then once I got there we had a conversation with the police and they allowed the party to continue, because it was a holiday; It was an international holiday – 4/20,” said Snoop. “My partner pulled him [the police chief] to the side. He was a great, great chief and he was willing to understand. We just trying to party chief. We doing a millon other things, we just trying to smoke and have a good time. And the chief was like, ‘save me a couple of blizys and I’ll let y’all have your party.’ So we did that,” joked Snoop. (CBS Local)
The rapper also denied having any illegal treats at the party.
Luckily the rapper avoided any type of damage to his record, and claims that all his guests were in tip-top shape anyway. “We all had our license and everybody was legit and the police went on by their way. We had a great time. It continued on until the break of dawn,” said Snoop. (CBS Local)

Snoop Dogg’s 4/20 party in Hollywood was shut down before the star of the show even arrived … TMZ has learned. “Snoop Lion 420 Festival” — a giant party being held in a Hollywood Hills mansion to celebrate all things cannabis — started at 11:00 AM … but quickly crashed and burned thanks to a bunch of fuddy-duddy neighbors. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … multiple neighbors in the surrounding area complained about the noise levels and parking situation caused by hoards of weed-loving partygoers. The fact that the party didn’t have a permit didn’t help matters either. Cops arrived and quickly shut it down, putting a kibosh on the all-night festivities. Our sources say no one was cited. We’re told Snoop arrived to the party just as it was being shut down. Our sources say Snoop spoke to police and was incredibly cooperative and understood why the party was being shut down. (TMZ)
No stranger to marijuana chats, the Dogg Father recently talked about wanting to give his kids lessons on the herbal drug.
In Snoop’s Narnia, it’s perfectly acceptable to look forward to teaching your kids how to pick seeds out of your stash or how to roll a blunt. “It’s not that I would ever push weed on our kids,” says Snoop, who has three children, ranging in age from 12 to 18, “but if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won’t get nothing put in their sh*t or overdose or trying some sh*t that ain’t clean.” (GQ)
