Although Slim feels Game is a great artist, he also believes the rapper is hugely recognized.

“I like Game. He rap his a** off but I can’t say he underrated. The n*gga sold millions of f*ckin’ records. When I look at the West Coast that’s the two muthaf*ckas I think about is Snoop and Game. So I don’t see it as underrated. I think he got a lot of success.” (XXL Mag)

In October, Pharrell credited Game’s trans-regional flow as one of his many underrated characteristics.

“Game is one of the most underrated emcees ini the game,” Pharrell said in an interview. “Pun intended. He is, he is. I mean the things that that kid says? [He’s a problem,] he really is man. West Coast mentality with an East Coast understanding. He’s just, he’s a quintessential emcee. I’m sorry, he’s one of the best. Just because he is, you just would never know that. But that guy, and he has like maybe 30 or 40 records right now [for The R.E.D. Album]. So he’s just picking the best 12. I mean, we worked on a huge body of work. And he has some great records from Dr. Dre, he has some dope records from Cool & Dre, he worked with [DJ Premier.]” (Hard Knock TV)

Last year, Game discussed his admiration toward Pharrell.

“Pharrell is my new favorite producer,” Game said in an interview. “I got a whole new respect for Pharrell and The Neptunes but especially Pharrell and how he do his thing. The way that he coach me when we’re in the booth, it’s like a Pat Riley to a Tim Hardaway or a Pat Riley to a Magic Johnson. The way that he let me run point guard when I go inside that booth is just crazy.” (Dubcnn)

Game later tattooed Pharrell’s Star Trak imprint onto his body.

“Pharrell’s gonna take my career to the next level, keep me ‘hood and cross me over at the same time by executive producing my album, so that’s how I show my loyalty,” Game explained in an interview. “Pharrell is my friend. We’ve created a work bond and established a friendship. Star Trak is gonna make me money in the future — that logo, that brand, that man helping me. That’s something that’s gonna put milk in my refrigerator and help me feed my kids, keep them in private school, and keep them doing what they do.” (Rap-Up)
