Accordinig to Slim, he cut ties with the popular label around mid-October.

“I been off the label since October 17 …. somebody update that d*ck head @50cent,” Slim tweeted November 16th. (Slim Da Mobster’s Twitter)

Earlier in the day, 50 taunted Mobster’s status with Dre and Aftermath.

“SLIM U R dropped, you will get the call ths week.DRE’s a boss nobody wants 2 tell him. It’s OVER ? SMSaudio,” Fif tweeted Friday. (50 Cent’s Twitter)

Last year, Slim spoke to SOHH about a potential but botched Aftermath/Shady/G-Unit Records deal.

“It was in the air for a minute,” Slim told SOHH about having an opportunity to sign a three-way deal with Aftermath, Shady and G-Unit Records. “It was like too many big heads. It’s hard. You can’t have too many bosses on one [deal]. I just decided to stick with Dre and make a name for my own company and that’s where I’m at with it. … Everybody had a different job. 50 was my person to go door-to-door, like, ‘Get out here and roll to the shows.’ That’s what his job was. Dre was more to make sure that the music is right and [Eminem] was to make sure that lyrically, everything was where it was supposed to be. That was the thing that we were shooting for. I’m actually anticipating working on this record with Marshall [Eminem] for my [upcoming] album.” (SOHH)

Prior to getting dropped, Dre said he planned to work with Slim and Kendrick Lamar.

“I am never going to give music up,” he said. “Music is like air to me, [music] is like oxygen, so I am always doing that. As soon as I get back to Los Angeles, I am back in the studio doing my thing. I have a couple of new artists that I am excited about, Kendrick Lamar and Slim The Mobster. These are the next two artists, and these are probably my final two artists that I am going to be working with at least for the next couple of years. I am going to devote all my attention to them and make sure their sh*t comes out the way it should be. I am just having fun with life right now!” (Global Grind)
