According to reports, the three-year-old girl helped family and friends remember her father.

Doe B’s young daughter, Madison Thomas, 3, held up a single lit candle while participating in an emotional vigil held by dozens of supporters in her father’s honor. Mourners gathered outside of Centennial Bar and Grill in Montgomery, Ala. to place candles at the scene where the 22-year-old was gunned down on Dec. 28. Doe B’s little girl, Madison, appeared quiet and somber as she sat on the sidewalk at her father’s vigil, mere feet away from the spot he was shot. The toddler could not possibly fully understand the tragic loss of her father, but she was surrounded by a sizable crowd of mourners came out to show their support for his family during their time of grief. Over the weekend, manager DJ Frank White said he believed Doe B was likely targeted in Saturday’s fatal attack.

White is a local radio personality at 97.9 JAMZ and Thomas’ manager. “He was a great guy, a fun guy and a very humble person,” White said. White believes Kimberle Johnson was an innocent bystander who had no connection to Thomas. He said he does feel Thomas, who was at the bar and grill as a patron and not a performer, was targeted in the shooting. “I don’t believe this was random,” White said. “A lot of people don’t want to see others succeed.” (Montgomery Advertiser)

Management company Blueprint Group issued a statement on the Alabama rapper’s death over the weekend.

“Doe B was an amazing young man, in every sense of the word,” the statement reads. “A truly talented artist, a loving father and a dedicated member of the Hip Hop community at large, he touched the lives of the many people who had the privilege of knowing him. The Blueprint Group offers our condolences to our Doe B label partners Interscope / Hustle Gang, his management DJ Frank White and Brooklyn Knights, and most of all his family, friends and fans at this very difficult time. We ask that you remember him not by his untimely death, but by his love of life and the music he left behind.” (XXL Mag)
