Weeks after Shyne dropped his “Psalms 68 (Guns & Moses)” anti-Game freestyle, the former Bad Boy Records rapper is back at dissing his former comrade.
Revamping the freestyle and titling it “Bury Judas,” Shyne makes it known his gripe with Game is far from over.
“This little busta named Game wanna rhyme like Po, so rhyme like go/ I rhyme like I be climbin’ out that Rolls/ The nine I let it blow, put five up in ya clothes/ Headshots leave ya slumped reclining through ya door, oh,” he spits over rolling drums and eerie synths. Shyne goes on to charge that Game patterned his career and rap style after the MC who made an equal amount of waves in the booth and in the news following his involvement in the infamous 1999 Club New York shooting. “Smokin’ a Cuban, twistin’ up my sidelocks/ These sideways rappers, hit ‘em with them side shots,” Shyne starts his second verse before firing off: “I shoot the butterfly off your face/ And tell Jesus peace, smile at your wake.” (RapFix)
A few weeks ago, the ex-convict put out his “Psalms 68″ freestyle diss going at the West Coast rapper.
“Head shots leave ya slumped, dumped, reclining at ya door, oh,” Shyne spits acapella to set things off. The former Bad Boy MC goes on to charge that Game patterned his rap style after the one he came into the game with back with his 2000 self-titled debut. “Only God knows, I’m the idol that you bow too/ Realest alive, your red flag is a costume,” he continues before mocking Game’s new album title spitting: “Tell Jesus peace and I’ma smile at your wake.” (RapFix)
Prior to Shyne’s jabs, Game released his own diss called “Cough Up a Lung.”
“Let’s address that b*tch a** n*gga going at Kendrick/Say the album’s trash, n*gga you full of gas / Poke holes in you, let you fill up a New York cab / N*gga in Belize all into his feelings ’cause he did 10 years for shooting at the ceiling / Then he gave you a mil, little n*gga should have chilled / Cute curly sideburns, talkin’ ’bout he real / Check my resume, any n*gga want it, I bury ‘em / Butt f*ck this n*gga, he can’t get into America.” (“Cough Up a Lung”)
Before the war of words popped off, the former G-Unit member warned Shyne about dissing fellow California rapper Kendrick Lamar.
“Whenever a shot is taken at Kendrick, I think that’s the pool I’ma dive in head-first, whether there is water there or not,” Game said in an interview. “Personally, I think Shyne should just back away and let the kid breathe and if not, I don’t know, we might find ourselves face-to-face or sh– that nobody really wants to see happen. Kendrick is non-confrontational, he’s not a thug, he’s not a gang banger, he’s just a dope, hip-hop lyricist, but he’s from the streets and he got a lot of ties out here and a lot of good hood n—as with him and I’m one of them.” (MTV)
