Speculation on the rapper’s health condition hit the Internet yesterday.

Shawty Lo has been hospitalized due to his struggle with diabetes. He has been in the hospital since the weekend. He is on bed rest and as far as we know. LO has recently been on the tour all across the US and has been everywhere from San Diego to Milwaukee to VA without resting as he should. Bottom Line Lo needs to take care of himself and stop drinking and start eating correct. (Media Take Out)

Last June, Chicago rapper Rhymefest was rushed to a hospital due to Diabetes compilcations.

“I’m back y’all, thanks 4 the prayers and well wishers. I got released from the hospital over the weekend. Diabetes is manageable so I’m good,” he tweeted Monday (June 6th).

“Got a new diet, work out plan and lease on life. Gotta get off this insulin”

“Thanks to my close homies and family for helping me organise my new life style. No more pepsi hotchips and laffy taffys” (Rhymefest’s Twitter)

Over the summer, Shawty Lo made headlines for inking a deal with 50 Cent.

“It’s just a big movement and I’m promoting me and and my whole team,” Lo explained in an interview. ” It’s about to be a South take over right here. I had a couple of meetings with a lot of labels but our vibe was just so good and I just signed by the X…But I’m a boss too so I didn’t sign as an artist. It’s D4L/G-Unit. I feel like what he’s bringing to the table my previous label should have done and I just needed a little push behind me.” (Hip Hop Wired)
