Sai will also receive soul support on the album from R&B singers Faith Evans and Marsha Ambrosius.

His album features guest appearances by hip hop legend, Bun B, Q-Tip, Marsha Ambrosius and Faith Evans. Saigon wisely selected super producers Just Blaze, Kanye West, Buck Wild and Red Spyda to culminate his debut masterpiece. “I’m just finally happy that people are going to hear my music”, says Saigon. Just Blaze also serves as the project’s Executive Producer in addition to Rich Nice (Ludacris, Nas) and radio and television personality Sway Calloway (The Wake Up Show, MTV). “It’s time to get focused, this is a serious project put ya game face on” says Just Blaze. The album is currently slated to hit retail outlets in early 2011.

The greatest story will finally be told. After nearly half a decade of delays, Saigon’s official debut album, The Greatest Story Never Told, will finally be hitting shelves on February 15, 2011. Set to come out on Suburban Noize Records, the project will see Just Blaze, Sway Calloway and Rich Nice serve as executive producers. “I got everything planned out; it ain’t no more starting and stopping,” said the former XXL Leader of the New School cover subject. He also gave a few details on the album, telling XXLMag.com, “It’s been a long journey. We just tweaking The Greatest Story Never Told–updating it. Put a few [new] records on it. Black Thought just got added to the album.” (XXL Mag)

Last March, Sai blamed contractual obligations to Atlantic Records for halting his LP.

“I just got my release from Atlantic yesterday, literally,” he said in an interview last week. “I got my release, a good release, a fair release from the record company yesterday and moving forward, I’m not gonna position myself to be somebody’s artist to where they can just have me sitting around and not putting out music — I’m gonna play the game by my rules. That’s what I meant when I said I was quitting — I was quitting playing it their way, I’m doing it my way from now on. I love hip-hop…I own my masters now, I own Greatest Story Never Told, I own the masters. it was worth the wait…I’ve been trying to leave Atlantic since ’06. It’s the contract you sign [that’s so difficult.] The contract is 82 pages long.” (Soul Culture)

He initially said legalities kept himself and producer Just Blaze on Atlantic.

“We still on Atlantic man, we just getting out of there,” Sai said in an interview. “Still on Atlantic bro, that’s the thing. They the real paper gangsters man. Everyone talking about, ‘They still won’t let me out my contract,’ you play with them, you deal with some serious dudes. Nah, we didn’t get off, we just tried to fake it. But it wasn’t working, that’s why I laid low for a minute, I was gonna try to disappear off the radar ’cause they don’t wanna see you go up the street being successful so they just hold you in with the paperwork. They just sent over the papers for the release but the conditions are kinda iffy, because they like ‘We spent this and this kind of money,’ so they want when I go somewhere else, to pay them…Until they come back with something decent — then we gonna keep it moving.” (All Hip Hop)
