According to RZA, the LP will be auctioned off in the near future.

Today, it appears the group is ready to turn its attention back to Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, confirming for the first time the manner in which—and the unusual outlet by which—the album will eventually be sold. “We will announce Paddle8 as [the] official auction house,” said RZA in an electronic message to FORBES. Bobby Digital updated fans on the status of the mystery Once Upon a Time in Shaolin LP back in November.

“When we made the announcement, emails came in. People just started — “Yo, I want it.” My boy from London, 1.2. The biggest offer that came in was, “Yo, five million.” Whoever pays five million for this, I don’t know what they’re going to do with it. There’s potential to make much more, but I don’t think it’s a commercial thing.” (New York Times)

Last, Wu’s Raekwon said the group movement was back on track following a spat with RZA.

“We finally reached some kind of great agreement, me and RZA. And, yeah, everything is starting to happen… it’s starting to make sense. I can’t really give you too much ballistics on that, but as far as me being on board to do what I’m supposed to do, my team is telling me that it’s going to be a great situation. So I’m excited.” (Clash Music)

Wu member Ghostface Killah recently acknowledged how much effort and force was needed to keep a veteran hip-hop group together for decades.

“You can’t really get mad at it because look at all the groups you know that was from back then. They replace them with new members and some n*ggas die off. That’s what happens. So, to try to keep this family together, yo, it’s f*ckin” hard,” Ghost said in an interview. “We love each other, but love and business is two different things. You gotta understand. We’re men now. We ain’t coming in on some Fat Albert And The Gang sh*t like we did early on. We got heads on our shoulders now. We got babies. Some of us is grandparents. So, you gotta make sure your foundation is right. Wu-Tang is the foundation.” (Complex News)
