In a radio broadcast this week, Limbaugh name-dropped Yeezus.

“If this had been a song by Kim Kardashian‘s husband and then sung this song at the Grammys, it’d be a hit,” Rush said in his radio broadcast this week. “Do we agree with that? That’s number one.” (“The Rush Limbaugh Show”)

Although disgusted after seeing the now-infamous racist chant footage this week, rapper Waka Flocka Flame said he was embraced during a performance for them last year.

“My initial reaction when I seen the video was, I was more hurt, more disgusted, because I knew those kids. I performed for those kids. They made me feel like a brother. Just to see what a person does behind closed doors is disgusting than hurt. I wasn’t angry. I was just disgusted. [Did I feel racism when I partied with them last year?] Not at all. I felt like I was part of the frat. I really felt like a frat boy when I was there, I really felt like I was down with the fraternity with SAE. I was SAE. You couldn’t tell me different.” (CNN)

Waka spoke out via a statement to defend ditching an April 25 concert at the University of Oklahoma this week.

“…All races partying, having a good time and enjoying themselves peacefully. That’s what Waka Flocka is all about. For that reason, I must say I’m disgusted and disappointed in the actions of the SAE fraternity at the University of Oklahoma and I will be cancelling my scheduled performance for them next month.” (Statement)

Waka’s management team came forward to speak out on the nixed date.

“As we embark on the fiftieth anniversary of Selma, a landmark which embodies the very spirit of change and equality, the memory of Dr. King and the members of the civil rights movement who proudly served will not be forgotten nor forsaken. We too, shall be absent from the likes of those whom participate in such self-injustice. Let our decision weld a platform of conversation rather than raise the brows of anger among those who share our distaste and disgust from such a video. This was not a disciplinary action on the innocent students, nor among the guilty that share such wayward thoughts, but a collective reminder of the stain in which remains,” explains Brick Bronson, President, 36BRICKHOUSE, Waka Flocka Flame’s Managment Firm. 1. Hip hop started as expression music for us by us….so if at time it seems as though it could make others confused its because while hip hop has evolved and it was never truely about money it was a outlet and a way for people with no voice to speak…for those who apart of it or who help pioneer it ….its a celebration….its aggressive at times because its an outlet….its a inner circle of poets that express them self with words and music….who is he to judge art or thought…

Sidenote: Fact there is a group called foster the children that sings about shooting up a school…..how is that ok …it even gets played with no bleep….
Than there’s that hunger games songs that sings about people hanging from a tree….how the f**k is that cool to let go good intention or not when you have a people in this country that were hung on a regular…..

  2. White people haven’t gotten over the little situation of what Kanye said about Beck or Bush you really think they won’t publicly lynch him if he made a song like that? “They’ll never be a cracker in SAE” yeah good luck with that going gold. Limbaugh full of shit…his ratings must be down time to diss Kim and Beyonce next

  3. No need to be rational and explain anything to Rush Limbaugh. He’s a narrow-minded, short-sighted, agenda-driven bigot who has his mind made up about Black people.

      • Until a song is made and a reaction is gauged, no one knows if he is right or not. You’re entitled to your belief, but don’t confuse it with fact. So I’ll just disregard your opinion the same way that you’ve disregarded that is an opinion.

  4. Rush is a double edged sword of ignorance… He’s a racist that plays the role of a racist to entertain a specifically racist and republican following… to pay him attention is like asking Terrance Howard what he thinks about the music industry because of his role in Empire…

      • Being right for the wrong reason isn’t necessarily admirable. Especially when it’s coming from a certified bigot. I wasn’t overlooking that.

  5. they hate that black people have taken the power away from a term they created to belittle and demean us.
