Royce said the that method of which the tracks came together kept the collaborative effort from becoming a new Shady Records joint album.

“We didn’t start with any kind of a plan,” Royce said in an interview. “Normally, if you gonna do an LP where Em is involved, you start with a plan and then you go in and you do records. This didn’t come together like that; it just happened naturally. We just started cuttin’ songs, just to be working with each other again, with no intent in mind…We certainly didn’t have enough time to set up to make it an album. We don’t want people to think that it’s that type of release, because it’s not. We went in there and had fun. And we just gonna see what happens. We just want people to hear it.” (Hip Hop DX)

The Slaughterhouse lyrical monster also said the project is the set-up for his quartet’s Shady Records debut.

“The main focus really is Slaughterhouse,” Royce added. “So we gonna get this [EP] out and use it as a springboard for the group. That’s the main thing that everybody over here [at Shady Records] is excited about doing. [But], until we finish that, and another solo album from me, and only the good Lord knows if Marshall’s gonna go do another solo album for himself; I mean, who knows what could happen in the future. We don’t know, but we definitely haven’t discussed it.” (Hip Hop DX)

Contributing producer and D12 member Mr. Porter recently spoke on the EP’s progression.

“The album is dope. That’s all I can tell you about it,” said Porter when Mixtape Daily caught up with him at his Detroit studio. The idea for a Bad Meets Evil EP first came about while Porter and Royce were working on Royce’s solo album.”We had one song and it turned into, ‘Yo, what do you think about getting Em on this record?’ ” Denuan recalled. Soon, Royce and Em were bouncing ideas back and forth, and more producers were eventually brought into the fold. (MTV)

A couple weeks ago, Em and Royce’s “Fast Lane” track leaked online.

The dynamic duo of Detroit emceeing finally kick up some dust in the Shady colesium side by side and rip this Supa Dups and Eminem produced joint off their forthcoming Bad Meets Evil project. “Fast Lane” is the first sample available for this long awaited offering but things are bound to stay sounding just as devious between now and its June release. Hell: The Sequel is slated to drop Tuesday, June 14th.
