Maybach Music Group’s Wale and Rosa Acosta traded Twitter jabs at one another heading into the weekend after a Philadelphia encounter left them distancing themselves.
According to reports, tensions flared after the model criticized Wale’s performance.
“Rosa you owe me 15%, I made you hot my n*gga…Don’t submit your opinion to the public. Your talent doesn’t require a voice. We listen to real women in 2011, not industry slides…If your talent is your areola…you don’t deserve an opinion.” – Wale, on Rosa Acosta after she tweeted criticism about his performance last night. Outside of getting involved in Twitter disputes, rap star Rick Ross recently talked about Wale’s greatness as an emcee.
“After spending months of my summer working with Kanye, I learned and seen so many different visions and ideas come to light. I was there for ‘Flashing Lights’, when it was actually titled another title that me and Kanye went back and forth about. And when I think about Wale, I think about Kanye. And the kind of rhymes Wale has been laying down the last few months, since we been in the studio, I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be a lot of similarities as far as the pictures that he paints,” the Bawse continued. “Of course, Kanye is one of the greats of our time, but I see that same potential in Wale.” (MTV)
