R&B singer Robin Thicke has reportedly decided to give up on his struggle to win back estranged wife Paula Patton after their publicized separation earlier this year.
Details of the latest in their relationship status surfaced online Thursday (July 24).
Robin Thicke is waving the white flag … telling people in his camp his marriage to Paula Patton has collapsed. Thicke certainly gave a strong sign the union is over by listing his L.A. home Monday. Paula has not lived in the house since their separation in February, after that grab-ass pic became public. Sources connected with Robin tell TMZ … an attorney is already working on a financial settlement — separating assets. (TMZ)
Despite the seriousness, reports claim a divorce attorney has yet to be brought into the situation.
Our sources say, however, neither side has hired a divorce lawyer. Thicke is saying he will NOT be the one who files for divorce … she’ll have to do it. But he says he’s done begging and is moving on. (TMZ)
Despite his public pleas, Thicke recently said he had not seen Paula since earlier this year.
“I haven’t seen her for four months. She’s the best girl in the world, a great mother and still a good friend. But I also want to wish her well and let her know that she’s a great person and she deserves to have a good life,” Thicke said in an interview. “I’m a man. I messed up and I had to lie for a while, and then I stopped lying. This whole album is me revealing everything.” (Hot 97)
Robin reached out to Paula during his performance of “Forever Love” at the 2014 BET Awards show.
“I’d like to dedicate this song to my wife. And say ‘I miss you’ and ‘I’m sorry,” Robin Thicke said, before performing his new song “Forever Love,” for the first time on live television. “Forever Love” follows up “Get Her Back,” both off his album dedicated and titled after his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton. “He singing like she don’t know him,” Chris Rock joked after Thicke’s performance.
