R&B singer Robin Thicke is not ready to see his life without estranged wife Paula Patton and has confirmed an intent to piece back their marriage.
Although brief and to the point, the 36-year-old crooner addressed speculation about wanting Patton back this week.
Paula Patton may want a divorce, but Robin Thicke isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet. The “Blurred Lines” crooner is making an attempt to save his marriage. “I’m just trying to get her back,” Thicke told TMZ as he arrived in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. (Rap-Up)
According to reports, Thicke’s intimate performance with 21-year-old Miley Cyrus last summer stirred up initial problems.
“The Miley Cyrus fiasco was a big test of their relationship,” the insider reveals of the lascivious “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines” mashup. “He asked her to help him out as a friend and a wife, and defend him and the performance. He begged her to speak out for him and be there for him.” “She agreed to be the good wife after he begged and pleaded,” the source explains. “Then he asked her to stick with him through awards season, and she agreed. She attended the Grammys with him as a favor.” (Us Magazine)
The crooner issued an open statement about returning to touring earlier this week.
“I want to thank everyone for the well wishes these last few days. My fans mean everything to me. I’m looking forward to getting back on out on the road and performing in Washington DC this Thursday, and the rest of the tour. According to reports, Thicke nixed a concert and flew out to Canada last Friday (February 21) to save his marriage.
Sources connected with the couple tell us … Paula Patton told Robin Friday she wanted to end the marriage. Robin then abruptly cancelled his show, saying he had throat problems. But the cancellation was solely so he could sit with his wife and try to change her mind. We’re told Paula — who is shooting a movie in Vancouver — and Robin had a long, face-to-face talk … both acknowledging they had not been getting along and frequently arguing. Our sources say in the end Robin realized Paula was determined to end the marriage and reluctantly agreed, but was very upset. We’re told she was also upset. The next day Robin cancelled his Orlando concert so he could be with their child. (TMZ)
