According to reports, some criminals tried to pull a fast one over RiRi last weekend.

Rihanna’s string of bad luck with homes continues — someone tried to break into her Pacific Palisades mansion over the weekend … TMZ has learned. While Rihanna gallivanted around Australia half-naked … someone drove up her private road onto her $12 million property, walked to the backyard and threw a chair through a sliding glass door … law enforcement sources tell TMZ. The would-be burglars were scared off — apparently by the alarm, because they left without entering. Here’s their problem — Rihanna’s house is covered by security cameras. And get this … to approach the property you have to drive onto a private road. As you turn onto the road, there’s a sign: “Smile, You’re on camera” Cops are still on the hunt for the intruders. RiRi has ran into similar problems over the past 12 months.

It’s not the first problem Rihanna has had with unwanted visitors. In February a stalker tried to break into her house but mistakenly entered her neighbor’s pad … then in June, another man was busted by her security team, after they spotted him creeping on her roof. And you may recall … before buying this estate, Rihanna lived in Bev Hills, where she sued the former owner, home inspector and realtor, claiming they defrauded her by unloading a leaky piece of crap. Last year, rap mogul LL Cool J made headlines after attacking an intruder in his California home.

He kicks major butt on NCIS: Los Angeles, but did LL Cool J go too far in busting up a would-be burglar? For those few who think the “Mama Said Knock You Out” MC might have gone a little too far in his response, Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, tells E! News that of course he won’t be charged. “He’s the victim, not the perpetrator,” Robison said. (E! Online)

In July 2012, an intruder received punishment for breaking into Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy’s home.

A New York man who broke into Sean “Diddy” Combs East Hampton mansion said at his sentencing he drank the rap mogul’s liquor, smoked his cigars and slept in his bed. Quamine Taylor was sentenced Thursday in Suffolk County court to time served after being unable to post $2,000 bail following his April arrest. Taylor also was ordered to stay away from Combs’ homes.
