Reports claim CBS and the NFL want to bring back the track for this week’s broadcast.

RiRi and music mogul Jay Z‘s “Run This Town” had their hit song shot down for last week’s Baltimore Ravens game.

The chairman of CBS Sports, which will simulcast the game, told Sports Illustrated that the broadcasters weren’t overreacting to the scandal over the NFL’s reaction to the Ray Rice incident. “We thought … we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage,” Sean McManus said. “A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone.” (KSPR News)

The NFL planned on having the 2009 anthem play before every “Thursday Night Football” match.

According to an NFL press release, a custom opening sequence featuring music by Rihanna with a voiceover from Don Cheadle will play before every Thursday Night Football game this season, beginning with the Ravens game tonight. (TIME)

No stranger to domestic violence, R&B singer Chris Brown notoriously attacked Rihanna in 2009.

Rihanna was the victim of domestic violence in February 2009 when she was assaulted by her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown. After beating Rihanna with his fists, Brown entered a guilty plea to one felony count of assault and was sentenced to probation, counseling and community service. (CNN)

  1. I kinda feel her because if they pulled it because they felt it wasnt cool for opening week then it shouldnt be cool anytime if thats how they are looking at things. At the same time the NFL is a big look and a lot more exposure. Ida probably just let em use it and keep collecting my money.
