Grammy-winning singer Rihanna and pop star Britney Spears have officially teamed up for a new collaboration, coming together to remix the Bajan sensation’s hit single, “S&M”.
Speaking on the song’s amped up version, RiRi also said she hoped to make a music video alongside Spears.
“I hope so,” Rihanna said during an interview with New York’s Z100 Monday morning. “I want to spank Britney.” The “S&M” singer appeared on Elvis Duran‘s radio show to talk about the world premiere of a new remix of the song that features Spears. “It’s very strange. Britney never does features. It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song,” Rihanna said. “She really liked the song to begin with, but it was a different story when she had to sing it, and she really wanted to be a part of it. It made it really, really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore.” (PEOPLE)
Prior to the remix’s debut, Spears and RiRi hinted at the collabo via their separate Twitter accounts.
On Monday morning (April 11), Rihanna premiered a brand-new remix (or, as she put it, “RIHmix”) of her controversial hit, featuring an assist by none other than Britney Spears. The track debuted less than 24 hours after RiRi teased her Twitter followers that she had “a sexy collabo comin’ your way supa dupa soon … it’s Britney b*tch!!!” Britney then responded to Rihanna via her Twitter account, writing, “You’re such a tease! I like it, like it …” (MTV)
Following its initial release, RiRi’s “S&M” music video was reportedly banned in nearly a dozen countries.
The diva is back with her new single S&M – and the video is so steamy, it’s already been banned from 11 countries and counting. The vid features 22-year-old RiRi, writhing around in white latex (“with lube”, she says), sucking a banana (“I made ‘em give me a spit bucket in between takes”), wearing bondage gear and simulates sex with a lifesize doll. And the words to the song are just as dirty as the images. “Sex in the air, I don’t care, I love the smell of it,” she sings. “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but chains and whips excite me.” Oo-er! Southern Asian countries immediately banned it. (Mirror)
