The latest Slim Shady visual features guest appearances courtesy of new school rappers like Kendrick Lamar to Detroit’s Kid Rock.

Eminem released a music video for his new single “Berzerk” this afternoon, and featured in the video is a slew of celebrity guests such as Kendrick Lamar, Rick Rubin, Slaughterhouse, and Kid Rock. In true Eminem style, he leads off his album with a fun kind of kooky single that may not even sound like anything else from the rest of the album. The exception was his last album, which led off with the serious and inspiring “Not Afraid.” The video is even a classic look for Eminem as he goes back to his Slim Shady days where his hair was dyed blond. He brings back the familiar whiny and playful flow on the song. Recently Eminem’s rapping has been a lot more aggressive. (Christian Post)

Em took the video’s promotion into his own hands by premiering it via Twitter.

“The official music video for #Berzerk, directed by Syndrome, is here! http://vevo.ly/UhkEUx,” Em tweeted September 9. (Eminem’s Twitter)

Em’s weekend “Berzerk” tease premiered during ESPN’s “Saturday Night Football.”

Eminem just previewed the music video for “Bezerk.” Em made the reveal on ESPN during halftime of the football game between Notre Dame and Michigan. The Detroit native travelled out to Ann Arbor, Michigan to be in the studio for an interview with Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit after the preview was televised. The video itself has a cameo from the track’s producer, Rick Rubin, who happens to be standing barefoot. Other cameo appearances come from Kendrick Lamar and all four members of Slaughterhouse. Buzz behind the new preview becoming the theme and sound of “Saturday Night Football” surfaced online Friday (September 6).

Eminem’s “Berzerk” will be the new sound of Saturday Night Football on ABC. For those not in the know, that’s the most watched series celebrating college-level pigskin on television. And sports are the primary reason television still exists, so all told this is a big get for the Detroit MC. His first single from The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will play “throughout the telecast in various capacities, including highlight packages and coming in from, and out of, commercial breaks,” per label Universal Music. The new Slim Shady anthem premiered a couple weeks ago via premium radio station Shade 45.

Eminem has shared “Berzerk”, the aptly-named new single off The Marshall Mathers LP 2, his upcoming eighth studio album and the sequel to his 2000 album The Marhsall Mathers LP. Sampling Billy Squier‘s “The Stroke”, the song harkens back to Em’s early material when his tongue was pressed more firmly in his cheek, while also taking more than a few playful notes from Beastie Boys‘ songbook. “Berzerk” was premiered this evening on Eminem’s Sirius/XM radio station Shade 45; listen to the studio version below (via RapRadar). It will be available to purchase digitally beginning Midnight Tuesday. (Consequence of Sound)
