Southern rapper Rick Ross' Teflon Don has reportedly reached gold status since being released over the summer.

The “Boss” informed his fans of the achievement early Saturday (November 6) morning.

“We certified gold!!!!!!!!!! #teflondon,” Ross tweeted. (Rick Ross’ Twitter)

The achievement was also echoed by Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy.

“Congratulations to my brother @rickyrozay !!! Teflon Don has just been officially certified GOLD! RT to the world! LET’S GO!!!” (Diddy’s Twitter)

Upon its release last July, Ross’ record pushed over 170,000 copies in its first-week.

Def Jam juggernaut Rick Ross’ Teflon Don opened up this week at No. 2. Making his first non-number one solo debut, the “Boss” was able to shell out 176,700 pieces after seven days in stores. (SOHH Sales Wrap)

To date, Ross’ follow-up to 2009’s Deeper Than Rap stands at over 452,000 copies sold.

Triple C’s leader Rick Ross’ Teflon Don received an 11-position boost to No. 36 with 9,800. After 15 weeks on the chart, the rapper’s new album has sold 452,900 records. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
