It appears Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross is down to follow the same formula which made Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne a platinum-selling hit by offering to work alongside former rap rival Young Jeezy.

According to “The Boss,” their past issues never got to the point where he took personal offense or resorted to drastic measures to get at Jeezy.

“I’m always ’bout business; that’s why I’m here. I haven’t taken nothin’ personal since I came in the game and I think if you in this business and plan on having longevity in this you shouldn’t take nothin’ personal,” Ross said, noting that their differences never led to any physical altercations. “Ain’t nobody stepped on my Jordans yet, not out here. As far as I’m concerned, bring that money bag, let’s shake the world up, that’s what Double M-G is about.” (RapFix)

In December, the “Snowman” dismissed rumors which claimed he was out to beef with Rozay.

“I can’t really explain that,” Jeezy said when asked about the rift. “I just know from my standpoint, if homie wanna focus on me that’s on him. I’m focused on me. At the end of the day man, I got an album coming out and aint nothing more important than that. After the album come out, we could get into that.” (Hot 97)

A week prior, Jizzle said they should have met face-to-face and ironed out any issues instead of letting their speculated beef intensify.

Aside from those few lines on “Death B4 Dishonor,” Jeezy said the issue spiraled thanks to a Web clip, which Ross perceived to be an additional jab at him. “I feel like the whole started thing from a clip on WorldStarHipHop, and my thing was, if I’m a boss and you a boss, let’s sit down and be bosses,” he said. “You take a clip that somebody edited and run with that? What part of the game is that? If you felt like that, hit me up, let’s chop it up, we bosses.” Finally, Jeezy said he didn’t take things seriously after bumping into Ross at the BET Hip Hop Awards, where the Miami rapper declined to exchange any words with him. “I felt like it was about selling records,” Jeezy said. “It’ not about you about me. We could’ve stepped in the corner and chopped it up. So right then and there, I knew it was about records, so I was cool with it.” (MTV)

Ross previously questioned Jeezy’s lack of addressing whatever issue he had toward him.

“You gotta understand, when you talk about this street life and being one hundred and being solid, it’s certain things that you just bring to a person,” Ross added. “That’s what I was expecting. And that never happened. However homie feel, that’s him. Just all the way being real — we were just at the BET Awards, and I sat in the front row, and he performed. If it’s any pressure, handle it right then.” (Hot 97)
