Despite the remix being well-received, Ricky Rozay dished on his frustration with producer Timbaland for letting it loose.

“Timbaland released his version that I was real disappointed in hearing,” Ross said. “Me and Jay created the original version. That’s one of the records we vibed up when we had a couple sessions, you know what I mean? Of course Timbaland produced it and had the production on it for a little while and I went by the studio before and he played me the version and I was like I see what you did, but chill on that, we doin’ our thing on it. I was disappointed in homie on that, that was a little…” (MTV)

Speaking with radio station Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” Ricky Rozay recently cited his executive ways for piecing together two albums in a twelve month time span.

“That’s how bosses do it. That cake so stacked up we ain’t even gotta do that. Then if we text Def Jam you know they’ll bring that bag,” Ross said in an interview. “It was just something that I wanted to do when I recorded the music. If you go back and listen to my interviews speaking on Mastermind I was saying I felt like I made two albums because it was two different feelings.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Ross also broke down the science behind putting together his “Keep Doin’ That” anthem with R&B veteran R. Kelly.

“My musical accruement is higher than a lot of other people, man. I’m a fan of the music, the writing skills, the creativity and R. Kelly has flawlessly brought us dope records. That’s just speaking on the homie previous. This record we just did is most definitely a dope record, a feel good record. Something the chicks gonna be able to turn up to. Let the bosses lean on the wall a little bit. And just shine for you.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

  5. I highly doubt that Timbo gives a fuck officer ricky is “disappointed” with him.

    • Ross is cutting checks & is highly connected in the industry. The industry is wAtching how this unfolds. Tim is filthy rich but he’s not interested in losing money and future opportunities. It’s not good businesses to undercut a high profile artist like Ross. Minute thinkers become vicious haters.

      • I hope you don’t think Rick Ross can do anything to affect Tims business? He might never work with timbaland again but how much weight do you think Ricky holds in the industry vs Timbaland?

        • It’s not about weight it’s about how you move in the industry. Tim can’t go around undercutting artist like this. You don’t have to like Ross to see that this is bad business. Tim ain’t in to bad business. Nobody is. If Ross is willing to spend $300,000 in the next coming year with Tim but this changes things, then this affects Tim’s business. $300,000 won’t make or break him but nobody is interested in losing that type of money.
