Known for being a hardcore Wizards fanatic and Kevin Durant fan, Wale managed to spark a reaction from the Lakers’ Twitter page.

“. @Lakers I’ll coach y’all #getmedoe ha,” Wale tweeted Friday (November 9).

“Thanks for considering me… Im all bout Ambition RT @Lakers: @Wale we’ll pass along your interest.” (Wale’s Twitter)

The news of Brown’s departure even caught the attention of Atlanta’s 2 Chainz.

“Wooooow MIKE BROWN fired!!! Das ill B,” Chainz tweeted Friday.

“KOBE BABE!!!!! We do wut we gotta do to WIN no hard feelings” (2 Chainz’s Twitter)

Reports of the Laker’s unexpected move flooded the Internet Friday morning.

Mike Brown was fired by the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday in the wake of a 1-4 start with the N.B.A.’s glitziest lineup. Potential replacements include Mike D’Antoni, Jerry Sloan, Brian Shaw and Nate McMillan. The firing, which was first reported by USA Today, was confirmed by the team in a news release. Although the move was stunningly swift, it reflected the immense expectations in Los Angeles after a transformational summer in which the Lakers acquired Dwight Howard and Steve Nash, creating one of the most talented lineups in history. Prior to picking up their first win last week, the Lakers started their season with the worst opening record in thirty years.

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Clippers on Friday night as Lob City took it took the Lake Show and won convincingly by a score of 105-95. While the Clippers were gelling on offense, the Lakers continued to struggle to find a rhythm and an identity for their offense. The result is an 0-3 Lakers squad. It is the team’s worst start since the 1978-79 season. There is some good news, however, for the Lakers. Despite the 0-3 start during the 1978 season, the Lakers went on to make the playoffs but lost in the conference semifinals. (Fan Sided)
