In a Twitter photo posted over the weekend, Ricky Rozay posed alongside music industry veteran Steve Stoute and suggested a flick is in the works.

Rick Ross is just one of many celebrities currently in Utah for the Sundance film festival, and he’s feeling inspired. Apparently all of the dope festival entries have The Boss itching to make an impact in the industry himself. Early this morning he tweeted a picture of himself and advertising exec/entrepreneur Steve Stoute with the caption that hints at a film release for 2014. “@ Sundance discussing #maybachfilms 2014 film release w/ Steve Stoute” Is Maybach Films the next leg in Rozay’s takeover tour? His videos have always had a cinematic flair, and he did contextualize his last album as a “Brian de Palma film.” (Complex)

Aside from the projected new film, Ricky Rozay’s upcoming Mastermind album will drop this spring.

Teaming with REVOLT to make the official announcement via a cinematic trailer, the Bawse will be unleashing his biggest album to date on March 4, 2014. The 47-second teaser clip directed by Hype Williams finds the Maybach Music head honcho setting the scene for an LP that many are already expecting to be his sixth consecutive masterpiece. It was around this time last year that Ross announced the title of the album, which was followed by new singles like “Box Chevy” and “No Games,” as well as an 8-city Mastermind Tour. Now with a brand new Jay Z-assisted single currently burning up the airwaves, the Bawse is back to take center position. (REVOLT TV)

Ross recently raised eyebrows after revealing his LP would not make its previously scheduled mid-December drop date.

Rick Ross’ ‘Mastermind’ album was initially set to drop this year on Dec. 17, but the Bawse shares that he’s pushing the album back to a date that hasn’t been revealed. During an interview with DJ Scream on SiriusXM’s ‘Hip-Hop Nation,’ the rapper tells DJ Scream why he chose to delay the project. “I’m still putting the final touches on the album,” he shares. “You know me, making that classic is more important than anything. Making sure the streets are overwhelmed with what I am doing is what is most important. I’m gonna try to get it to you, and if I don’t, I’ll get it to you ASAP.” Ross released the song ‘No Games’ as the lead-in for the project, which serves as the follow-up to 2012’s ‘ God Forgives, I Don’t.’ (The Boom Box)

A few days ago, Ross released his new “Bound 2” freestyle music video.

Fresh off announcing the March 4 release date for his album Mastermind, Rick Ross drops the video for his freestyle to Kanye West’s “Bound 2.” But don’t expect to see Kim Kardashian riding on a motorcycle with ‘Ye. Instead, the Maybach Music boss rolls up to a carnival in the nighttime clip. Rocking a Dodgers cap, he smokes a cigar and holds a styrofoam cup while professing his love for Khloe Kardashian and taking in the carnival rides and attractions. (Rap-Up)
