Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has teased fans about his upcoming Hood Billionaire album with the unveiling of his project's cover art.
Ricky Rozay’s blue and red color covers landed online Wednesday (October 15) evening.
Rick Ross is pushing it to the limit. Following March’s Mastermind, the Bawse will release Hood Billionaire, his second album this year. He debuted the flashy cover art in a video that also includes a snippet of the album intro. The standard red artwork shows Rozay dripping in jewelry and gold chains, while the deluxe comes in blue. Speaking with radio station Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club,” Ricky Rozay recently cited his executive ways for piecing together two albums in a 12-month time span.
“That’s how bosses do it. That cake so stacked up we ain’t even gotta do that. Then if we text Def Jam you know they’ll bring that bag,” Ross said in an interview. “It was just something that I wanted to do when I recorded the music. If you go back and listen to my interviews speaking on Mastermind I was saying I felt like I made two albums because it was two different feelings.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Ross also broke down the science behind putting together his “Keep Doin’ That” anthem with R&B veteran R. Kelly.
“My musical accruement is higher than a lot of other people, man. I’m a fan of the music, the writing skills, the creativity and R. Kelly has flawlessly brought us dope records. That’s just speaking on the homie previous. This record we just did is most definitely a dope record, a feel good record. Something the chicks gonna be able to turn up to. Let the bosses lean on the wall a little bit. And just shine for you.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Barring any setbacks, Ricky Rozay’s follow-up to this year’s Mastermind will arrive in November.
