After releasing a mock funeral of his rap nemesis 50 Cent over the weekend, Rick Ross has dropped the full version of his “Cold Blood” music video.
The music video takes place from a funeral home as Ross looks over Fif’s casket.
Dressed in all black with gloves and shades, the Miami rapper uses a variety of dark elements to illustrate the end of 50’s career. While the track takes aim at dissing G-Unit members and 50 by saying, “I’m addicted to watches, momma telling me to stop it, got one over 50, 50 you better watch it,” Ross also added a preacher to confirm the passing. “We’re gathered today, ladies and gentleman, to celebrate a good famous rapper, Curtis Jackson,” he tells an empty church. “Curtis Jackson was a good man! He was good for the community.” (Spliff TV)
Along with diss songs, Ross has also brought up aspects of 50’s personal life, including his past relationship with Vivica A. Fox.
“If a b*tch f*ck him, she ends her career,” Ross explained. “Look at Vivica, look at Vivica. Any b*tch f*ck that monkey, you’re lost, you caught up. Baby, it’s like, it’s only the fortune. Come on, at least try to hide the sh*t. He ended that b*tch Vivica’s career though. She on reality shows now, it’s like d*mn. I used to like her, I used to like her. When’s the last time you seen her on something…All y’all young ladies, do your business careers a favor, stay away from the monkey, see what he did to Vivica.” (The Life Files)
The “Boss” has continued to inform Fif via interviews and video blogs of the positive affect the beef has had on his life.
“We got a lot of money,” Ross said in a video. “I just bought four new whips. F*cking monkey said he was gonna ruin my life, haha! I’m waitin’ for it man. Life is actually better. Follow my time pieces man. Follow my whips. Chornicle my triumph. You n*ggas still can’t dress. Youse a monkey…You don’t get tired of wearing those ugly jeans? Those ugly shoes? You lost all that weight and your face sunk in with your fake teeth, it ain’t a good look…Y’all stay tuned, it gets deeper.” (Torch Is NY)
Despite dissing 50 on “Mafia Music” remix with Ja Rule, Fat Joe and The Game, Ross has promised more verses to follow.
“Me and The Game done did a lot of little music in the past few weeks,” Ross explained in a video. “We got mutual people and everybody just kinda came together. I got a lot more verses, it’s a lot of people laid verses to that. Y’all gonna see, y’all know how I do it…It surprised me how many people was ready to ride [against 50]…I was always one of the dudes that thought Curly was emulating dawg’s swag. I never been a kinda band wagon dude…I don’t ever squash beef…These people desperate for attention, I can release hot records…He’s the kinda dude that’ll p*ss on somebody’s grave for attention for a few blog hits.” (Shade 45)
