Southern rapper Rick Ross has promised to release behind-the-scenes footage for the making of his new Jay-Z featured record, "Free Mason."
Writing via Twitter, the “Boss” hyped up fans’ anticipation.
“I’m releasing the making of “freemason” ..rare behind the scenes..countdown begins now!!!,” he wrote Friday (July 9) night. (Rick Ross’ Twitter)
The song notably features Young Hov addressing past rumors of him being in a secret relgious society.
On “Free Mason,” which is a play off the rumors that Jay is a Freemason, Hov shoots back. “N—as couldn’t do nothing with me, they put the devil on me,” Jay raps. “I would have preferred n—as squeeze the metal on me/ Rumors of Lucifer, I don’t know who to trust/ The whole world wants my demise, turn the music up. “If y’all n—as fear me, just say y’all fear me,” he adds. “F— all these fairy tales/ Go to hell, this is God engineering/ … I said I was amazing/ Not that I’m a Mason …/ I’m on my third six, but a devil I’m not. …” (MTV)
Prior to the song dropping, Ross said their collaboration would be memorable.
The Bawse tagged along Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 tour and got him to record his verse while on the road. “Me and Jay on the same record, of course we lyrically murdered it,” he told Rap-Up.com, “But the content and certain things we both address is gonna make this record one to remember for many years to come.” (Rap-Up)
Last month, the tracklisting to Ross’ upcoming Teflon Don album leaked online.
