Rather than avoid the question, Ricky Rozay admitted he is fully behind the Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

Ross was digusted by the recent theater shooting in Colorado (“Such a cowardly act”), but he’s not in favor of gun control: “I think we all have a right to bear arms, whichever amendment that is.” Even assault rifles? He shrugs. “I got ’em.” (Rolling Stone)

Rap veteran Ice-T raised eyebrows last month when he revealed his stance on gun control in light of the publiczed Dark Knight Rises Colorado shooting massacre.

Speaking with Channel 4 London’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy in the hours after the Colorado news broke, the self-described “Godfather of Gangsta Rap” vehemently denied a connection between gun rights and the Aurora murders. “It’s legal in the United States,” the rapper said. “The right to bear arms is because that’s the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt. It’s to protect yourself from the police.” “And do you see any link between that and this sort of instance?” Guru-Murthy challenged. “No. Not really,” Ice-T responded. “If somebody wants to kill people, they don’t need a gun to do it.” “Makes it easier though, doesn’t it?” the host pushed back. “Not really. You can strap explosives on your body. They do that all the time.” (Mediaite)

Following the published interview, Ice defended his comments upon getting painted as a bad guy.

“If you go into the jungle…. Will you NOT get eaten because you’re a vegan??,” he tweeted July 23rd.

“”Love me or hate me…. I’ll make you think.””

“Right??! >RT @JPFreire: We are at a point now in American politics where (Ice T) says things that resonate with conservatives. #crazytown”

“My comment on guns got a lot of press.. They call me ‘Gangster’ don’t forget ‘US Army Vet.’ A little gun history > http://bit.ly/OnAmMm” (Ice-T’s Twitter)

A few weeks ago, Ross offered his condolences to the Colorado shooting victims.

“I send my condolences out to the family members of the victims. It’s just so senseless. You think you’re in the movie and as I watched him today sitting in the courtroom, now he dizzy. Now he dazed. With all the pictures of him and everything that was leading up to the event, he’s smiling and doing this and that. Now you dazed. Don’t be dazed now. We need you to be focused when this comes down on you, because that was senseless. It’s unfortunate. … Don’t be blinkin’ and all that. It could be one of his approaches to his defense, he’s going to act like he ain’t know what was going on. But that ain’t gon’ help you on this one.” (Power 106)
