Although there are still plans to put out the LP on December 13th, Ricky Rozay said his health concerns following two seizures last month could push its release back.

“The date is still tentative, December 13. [Because of] my little health situation, I had to postpone a lot of my groundwork,” Ross said in an interview. “And I feel like that’s important for artists like myself. If I wanted to, I’m pretty sure I could still meet that date, but I think for the people, it’s more important [to lay groundwork] for when I get out there and look them in the face and touch them hands — We’ve just gotta lay ground for it, and I’ma keep y’all updated.” (MTV)

Earlier this month, Ross came forward and discussed his multiple seizures.

“On the flight, I had a seizure and when I snapped out of it and they had told me what happened, I’m like, ‘You bugging. Call the jet, we finna keep it moving.’ … I felt a little wore out but I felt like I could keep going and that’s what it was,” Ross told “106 & Park” hosts Terrence J and Rocsi. “I boarded a jet and I had another seizure and when I snapped out of that one, I woke up in front of a doctor and he asked me basically, ‘When was the last time you slept eight hours?’ And I said it had to have been at least five years. … I would get two hours of sleep and keep moving — me being the hustler. That has to stop. I was fortunate enough, the doctor ran a battery of tests on me from cancer, diabetes, HIV, et cetera, et cetera and I came back totally healthy.” (“106 & Park”)

A few weeks ago, Ricky Rozay announced the project’s official release date.

Rick Ross appeared on Funkmaster Flex‘s show on New York radio station Hot 97 earlier tonight (October 4) to drop off two new records from his forthcoming fifth solo album, God Forgives, I Don’t. During the conversation, the October 2011 XXL cover boy, revealed a December 13 release date for his new disc and showed fans what they could expect to hear from the album. On “You the Boss,” listeners hear Rozay rapping on a laid back, R&B flavored cut with Nicki Minaj singing the auto-tuned chorus. “I Love My B*tches” finds the Miami rapper spitting over a sped up sample chopped up by super producer Just Blaze. In January, the “Boss” revealed plans to drop God Forgives, I Don’t as the follow-up to 2010’s Teflon Don.

“I’m in Swisher Studios right now working on my new project,” Ross told Power 105.1 radio hosts DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee. “50 percent of the album [is] already [done]. This is the first time I’m revealing it, but the name of the album is God Forgives, I Don’t…One of the records that I excluded off the [Ashes To Ashes] mixtape was ‘Made Men’ featuring the homie Drake. I wanted to put some final touches on it and I wanted to give you the opportunity to bless the world with that.” (Power 105.1)
