Terror Squad‘s Remy Ma can’t undo the past. The hip-hop veteran has dished on the aftermath of dropping the anti-Nicki Minaj diss song heard around the world.
In a new interview, Remy talked about the impact “shETHER” had on the music biz and explained why a collaboration could have had the same headline-generating results.
“It just bothers me that this record that I put out where it’s literally picking apart a female went so viral, and every media outlet wants to talk about it and pick it up; I feel like we could’ve done the same thing working together. I just personally think it would’ve been so much cooler…if we came together and made something crazy […] It could’ve been totally different. I don’t regret [“shETHER”], but I’m not particularly proud of it.” (Buzz Feed)
New reports claim Nicki has no plans on entertaining the feud right now.
Our sources say Nicki feels Remy’s accusations are being exposed as lies by various people, including Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Ebro and Safaree. There’s a lot of chatter that Nicki will fall off if she doesn’t respond, but she doesn’t buy it. As for the long-term, Nicki isn’t ruling out a counterblast, but she feels right now she’s winning by silence. (TMZ)
Recently, Southern rapper Khia offered her two cents on the dispute.
“Everybody’s been wanting to know my opinion on the Remy Ma and Nicki situation. But I’ve been getting so much neck and back and p*ssy and crack licked lately that I’ve been in my happy thoughts and I just really haven’t had time but it’s something about that Papoose. Ooouu. I’ve got so much respect for Papoose, you know, mmm, that’s a black king right there. Since I have so much respect for Papoose, I think it’s best for me to keep my comments to myself. So I can keep him happy all the time.”

In a recent interview, rap producer Lil Jon said Nicki should ditch the beef.
“I don’t know, man,” Jon said when asked if Nicki should respond back. “It’s good for the culture. That’s what hip-hop started on. It started on battling and all of that, so, I don’t think she’s going to respond though. Somes you don’t get baited in. So who knows, we’ll see.” (TMZ)
