Music duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis received some mainstream spotlight this past month after being honored at the 2016 Roland International Press Conference in Anaheim, California.
According to a new press release, Jam, Lewis and fellow music veteran Jeff “Skunk” Baxter were recognized by the major electronic music instrument company with its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award trophies.
The Roland Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals for their invaluable contributions to the music industry while using Roland and/or BOSS gear throughout their careers. Chris Halon, Roland Corporation U.S. Vice President, Marketing, served as master of ceremonies for the gala event that was attended by artists, musicians and leading journalists from the music industry. Roland Corporation U.S. President & CEO Jay Wanamaker presented the awards to the three musicians.
