Instead of reacting negatively, the Rice family have sent prayers to the people mocking them.

Ray Rice and his wife Janay are fully aware of the Ray Rice costumes that have been surfacing this Halloween — and they’re telling friends they’re simply praying for the people mocking them. We’ve spoken with friends and family members close to Ray and Janay who tell us … the couple is dealing with the unwanted attention by turning to religion. One source tells us Ray and Janay have said they are “praying for those people.” (TMZ)

Check out what Mrs. Rice said on social media last week right here…

Mrs. Rice reportedly responded to the pics on her Twitter page.

The dicey Halloween pics surfaced online a few days ago.

The photograph shows an unidentified male wearing Rice’s #27 jersey, holding a black blowup doll by the hair. The costume is a reference to Ray Rice’s now infamous domestic assault of his then fiancée in the elevator of an Atlantic City casino. Rice was suspended for two games from the NFL after the incident; after full video of the assault leaked, however, he was suspended indefinitely and cut by the Baltimore Ravens. The couple married shortly after the incident; as part of a plea agreement, Rice received no jail time. (The Grio)

The suspended NFL player’s wife jumped onto her Instagram page in September to speak out.

“I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his a** off for all his life just to gain ratings is a horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don’t you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you’ve succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love!,” Mrs. Rice wrote September 9. (Janay Palmer-Rice’s Instagram)

  1. They don’t need your prayers, you do. They’re fake wife beaters, you’re a real one
