Despite a few questionable references, Ray said people and media need to appreciate the record for being a good song rather than draw up endless implications.

“Big homie,” Ray said in an interview. “It’s just a record, yo. You know what I’m saying? They’re putting a hundred on fifty. You know? It’s a song. It’s not about [Kim], it’s about a concept, you know what I’m saying? People going way too deep. They just gotta keep it on the surface. I’m not trying to create no war. It’s all love, it’s just music. [laughs] I think people digging into it too deep. Like, it’s a song, we just having fun. We not on that, we not on ‘that’ situation. We just making music. … [Have I ran into KimYe?] Never. Yo, it’s not like that. Just bring it back to the song. … It’s not a war, it’s not a diss song.” (Hot 97)

The track prematurely arrived online over the weekend.

So Ray J has quite a stir recently with the release of his latest track “I Hit It First”. The track is an obvious shot at Kim Kardashian in which he speaks about a young lady who goes after ball players, rappers, and singers. While we all know that Ray J and Kim had a previous relationship of sorts, it seems that Ray J is trying to capitalize on it yet again. The track is a infectious track, and had it dropped about ten years it would have gotten a lot more spin. (Stupid Dope)

The steamy record’s lyrics surfaced across the Internet hours prior and was expected to drop sometime this week.

TMZ has obtained some of the hysterical lyrics to Ray J’s new song, “I Hit It First,” which will be released next week … and they’re awesome! “She might move on to rappers and ballplayers/But we all know I hit it first./I had her head going North and her ass going South/But now baby chose to go West/No matter where she goes or who she knows/She still belongs in my bed.” (TMZ)

Reports also claim Ray will snag a Kim look-a-like for the music video.

Ray J wants Kanye West to know … when it comes to Kim Kardashian, Kanye’s getting sloppy seconds … because he hit it first. As you know, Ray J famously had his way with Kim in the epic sex tape, “Kim K Superstar.” We’re told Ray J is making a music video featuring a Kim look-alike — pre-pregnancy, we presume. Unless he’s into that kinda thing. (TMZ)
