[Busta Rhymes had the 90s on lock from Leaders of the New School to acting in movies like Higher Learning alongside Ice Cube to his own solo career. His crew the Flipmode Squad also had a firm grip on the industry with Rampage being at the height of it all. The NY Emcee was even featured on Craig Mack’s Flava In Ya Ear Remix alongside Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, and of course Busta! Check out five memorable moments from his “Murder Master Music Show” below!]

1. Memories of Flava In Ya Ear Remix

Flava in Ya Ear Remix is a classic with me, Craig Mack, Biggie Smalls, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J. If anybody know about hip-hop classics that was the best all time hip-hop remix. We was all in the studio at the same time but Biggie laid his verse first. The vibe in the studio was good. I wasn’t suppose to be on the record I was just there to support Busta, and Puffy was like “What, you ain’t gonna be on it?” and I said “Hold up” and I put a verse on it and that’s how it began! There hasn’t been a lineup like that since!

2. Puffy Took A Young Rampage Off To The Side

When we went to go shoot the video it was all love. I didn’t understand why Puffy made me go last. People shot their part and then it was just me and Puffy, but I get it Puffy was just wanting to know me better. I remember staying an hour later vibing with me and Hype Williams. Basically being the newcomer Puffy was just vibing with me and showing me a lot of knowledge and what to do and what to look out for because he said it was gonna be the #1 record in the country. That was a great experience for me!

3. Working W/ Alicia Keys

That’s a weird one because I was going through something. Every time I am going through something I get the opportunity to work with somebody special. I got a weird call form J Records and Busta was like “You know that girl that sings Fallen, would you do something with her?” I was like “Of course I would do something with her!” I went out to Canada to record with her. I was in the studio vibing with her and all of a sudden that joint did ten million!

4. Busta Rhymes Coming From Nothing To Something

I call him the 8th wonder of the world because nobody can fill his shoes. He is royalty. That’s my big brother; we grew up in the same house so watching him grow with his career was something special. I was one of those that followed behind him. Busta has been on tons of classics and you gotta think how many times he transitioned himself. That dude is a classic and I had fun growing up with him! Dude did it millions of times and he is still rocking! My bro, that’s the general man! You can’t make him no more! Lyrical monster! Growing up we would go in the basement and my uncles would have old studio equipment and Busta played the drums. I seen him come from nothing!

5. Flipmode Squad Probably Getting Back Together!

Maybe sometime in the future, we all talk so it could happen everybody is doing their solo thing now. We came back together about a year ago when Busta had a show and we all came back on stage and did our thing together in front of 18,000 people. It was a spectacular night! You already know Flipmode is still a unit we just gotta get it together and once we do that yall gonna have something new!
