1. Qtip shut up! This girl is not the problem. It’s people like Kanye bitching about not being accepted by MTV which barely played hip hop to begin with that’s the bigger problem. It’s jay Z choosing to tour with Justin Timberlake than J Cole and distancing himself from all of hip hop that’s the bigger problem. It’s lil Wayne pretending to be a blood slash skateboarder and making a rock album that’s the real problem. It’s Nicki Minaj going completely away from rap to try and become a pop star then realizing they really didn’t want her then trying to claim hip hop again that’s the bigger problem. It’s all the artist doing videos with Miley Cyrus who’s been more offensive to our culture that’s the bigger problem. It’s Nas defending gweneth Paltrow saying nigger saying and I quote “I’ll slap the shit out of somebody for Gweneth Paltrow” that’s the real problem. Don’t blame this little white girl for trying to be an image hip hop has portrayed across the world the last few years. Hip hop use to be the voice of the youth and issues seen from our point of view. You should be focusing on why phife can’t stand your ass instead of beefing with this little white girl just trying to be what she’s seen.

     And “Rappers Delight” was the first rap packaged to be sold, in other words “commercialized”. Its no way the “very first song”. And as iconic as that song might have become, its in many ways responsible for whats happening today. Hip Hop was better for us, when it was just “ours”, with a few respected “visitors” like the Beastie Boys, 3rd Base etc. Its was a great outlet, stress reliever from hood life and allowed us to keep making music once they took all the instruments and musical instruction out of the schools. (Another main reason we lost jazz, stopped doing music like funk & rock n roll etc) Now its something totally different, you really have to go deep under ground to find the essence of what it used to be or just listen to old school rap. I forgot there was so much good stuff back in the days it was hard to keep up with everybody. Now its like I have plenty of time to do that, in a way its a blessing.
