According to Pusha, his sophomore studio release still has a ways to go before completion.

“It’s in the beginning stages. I’ve been in with Pharrell and Chad and I was in Miami for a little while, so any producer that was down there I would try to link up with in between time with The Neptunes, just to see what everybody got. But I think everybody’s gonna be really happy with this album. I’m really taking my time with it. I’m not forcing any of this music; it has to live up to the title ‘King Push.'” (Montreality)

Pusha recently revealed his interest in securing mega producer Scott Storch for the project.

“We did a joint with the Clipse called ‘Fast Life.’ And I just think–I came over here honestly simply because I feel like music is coming back [into] musicality. And people who are really skilled with it. On the keyboards. And sounds, it’s like sophisticated. And I mean, who else is better at sophisticated music than Scott Storch?” (“Mikey T The Movie Star”)

The Pusha Man treated fans to intimate in-studio photos alongside The Neptunes last month.

The boys are back. In December, Pusha T spoke about his follow-up to My Name Is My Name, revealing he’ll be in the studio with his former running mates The Neptunes. The studio sessions would be a 20-day run starting Jan. 2, and true to his word, Pusha took some photos of Pharrell and Chad Hugo. In December, he revealed the LP would come together following a 20-day studio run with the music duo.

“I don’t know when I’m dropping the next one but I can tell everybody, January 2, me, Pharrell and Chad are going into the studio for 20 days,” Pusha revealed in an interview with hip-hop personailty Miss Info. “Chad the Ghost. Me, Pharrell and Chad are going into the studio for 20 days, in Miami, and that’s it. Like, that’s what’s going to start off the King Push album. Title is definitely King Push.” (Miss Info TV)
