With recent news of Bad Boy Records' French Montana landing an executive producer role on Puff Daddy's upcoming Money Makin' Mitch album, SOHH hit up contributing hitmaker Reefa for his take.
Despite the duties that come with being an executive producer, Reefa fully co-signed Montana’s behind-the-scenes talent.
“I can definitely see French Montana doing executive producing,” Reefa told SOHH when asked for a take on Montana executive producing Puff Daddy’s upcoming new LP. “He’s got the hooks. He’s really great at doing hooks and French understands hip-hop. He studies it. I f*cks with French. That’s the homie. Shout-out to French.” (SOHH)
The East Coast producer also dished on how far back his relationship with Montana goes.
“I’ve known French for a while but our relatinship stemmed from when he was doing his albums,” Reefa added. “He was doing his Excuse My French album and I did some records on there. Me and him really ended up clicking and keeping it going. I also have a good relationship with Rick Ross and we just keep the circle going. Every record I’ve done on my discography has been me going into the studio. I don’t really send somebody a beat and say, ‘Yo, this is the joint.’ That doesn’t really happen.” (SOHH)
Back in February, reports revealed Bad Boy’s French Montana would assist the fellow New York native with his solo LP.
Recently, rumors have been swirling about Diddy working on a new solo album, possibly titled MMM. Bad Boy artist French Montana recently confirmed the news and also revealed he will be executive producing the project. Last night, French took to Instagram and posted a video of Puff diddy bopping in the studio to some new tunes. The caption reads, “Studiovibe executive producing my brother new album @iamdiddy #mmm get ready #getready.” (XXL Mag)

The hip-hop mogul proclaims his supreme status as he holds court at O’Fishole Seafood in Harlem with Ashanti, A$AP Rocky, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, Nelly, Bow Wow, and Jermaine Dupri. The bi-coastal Bad Boy also flies across the country to kick it with Snoop Dogg on Crenshaw Blvd. in L.A., while his son Christian raps alongside his father.
