With a new President officially sworn into office, SOHH caught up with Paul Wall and Project Pat to see what they want President Obama to accomplish during his first term.
Paul Wall told SOHH.com that he hopes the new President will be able to fix our ailing economy.
“Well I wish he’d bring us out of this recession. I know it’s gon’ happen eventually I just hope it happens sooner than later. I read on the internet somewhere that 500,000 people are going to lose their jobs in January. It’s hard seeing people like that, down and out.”
The rapper, who is currently preparing for the March 24th release of his third album, Fast Life had one more wish for President Obama.
“Also, I hope that he brings peace. That’s something that don’t happen overnight. Me personally going over to Iraq I went over there doing the USO tours. I went over there a couple of times. Going over there and seeing these soldiers and these heros over there fighting for us and reading in the newspaper when somebody loses their life as a causality of war it’s hard to see that so I hope he finds a way to bring peace.”
In 2007 Wall took two trips to the Middle East to perform for United States soldiers.
Houston rapper Paul Wall will be heading out on his second USO Tour to perform for troops stationed in the Persian Gulf region. The rapper toured earlier this year with comedian Jamie Kennedy in the Persian Gulf for the “Jamie Kennedy’s Hip-Hop Comedy Tour”. (HipHopDX)
Memphis rapper Project Pat told that he’s satisfied with the strides that President Obama has made thus far.
“To be honest I think that man has done enough already. He became the president. I tip my hat off to him. It’s a blessing. There’s just no more he can do. He cool with me.”
