Mobb Deep's Prodigy has confirmed speculation of his beef with Nas being terminated and why their past falling out has now become a distant memory.

According to P, after recently being released from jail, he ironed things out with Nas.

“We’ve beent talking since I’ve been home,” P told DJ Whoo Kid referring to Nas. “We put that to the side to do this music. This music is crazy right now that we’re working on. We did a couple of joints, you know what I’m saying? It’s coming out crazy, man. The music is more important than anything, all the little petty bullsh*t, you know what I’m saying? So we good on that…It was all love, because n*ggas came up together. So it’s nothing but love when we see each other…” (Radio Planet TV)

Earlier this month, Prodigy and Nas dropped a new collaboration.

Mobb Deep reunites with frequent collaborator Nas on “Dog Sh*t,” produced by The Alchemist and Havoc. The dark, hood-friendly joint, which features piano keys fluttering over ominous bass drones, solidifies Prodigy, Havoc, and Nas’ gangster mentality. “Dog sh*t, I sh*t you not/ You bring that larceny, danger, or harm around me?/ Dog sh*t, listen to me good/ We the grand goons, just a lick of nickel dime hood,” spits P on the chorus, while Nas welcomes his peer back from prison. In 2005, Prodigy spoke to SOHH about not considering Nas his competition while on G-Unit Records.

“There is no real beef with Nas,” he told SOHH. “We call him Milkshake. Milkshake’s not even no competition no more. We respect him though, because he’s from around our way.” (SOHH)

Prodigy previously said he warned Nas about Jay-Z wanting to beef with him prior to their 2001 feud.

“So now I ain’t peep it back then when [‘Where I’m From’] came out, but down the line when I’m in the studio talking to Nas around that time I peeped it,” Prodigy said in an interview. “I’m like aww he talking about me in that song yo and he bit our sh*t with the little plastic cups in the hood and if you do the research and history of it, Jay-Z was on some speed boat in the Bahamas Versace type of sh*t. Then ‘Shook Ones’ came out, then Jay came with the plastic cups, football jerseys in the projects, taking jabs at us and I was like ‘Nas, what we need to do is go at these n***as because number one, his lil’ man is trying to s**t on you; talking about your life is written and all this s**t. That’s when Memphis Bleek was trying to take lil jabs at Nas. I was like these n***as is going at us subliminally and I was like f**k that, we need to go at those n***a. Let’s make a song about them, son. And he was like nah nah that n***a ain’t nobody to be doing that son. I’m like son I’m telling you its gonna be a problem and he like nah. I’m like aight cool. ‘Cause in my mind, I’mma address it on my own anyway. I don’t give a f**k what this n***a do. I love you Nas but I’mma handle this ’cause you buggin.” (Planet Ill)
