Speaking on his performance yesterday’s Gen44 Summit concert in Washington, D.C., B.o.B. reflected on chopping it up with The Chief.

“It went real well actually man, lotta energy in there,” B.o.B. said about his performance. “On a scale of one to then it would probably have to rank at 44…He got me in his iPod…I was like you got a real good iPod then. I made a presidential iPod…He congratulated me on all the success and said he was proud of everything that I was doing. We snapped a few pictures. It was a really good, really good day yesterday.” (XXL Mag)

Recently, Obama stated that his hip-hop iPod mainstays  included rap heavyweights Nas and Lil Wayne.

“Thanks to Reggie [Love, the president’s personal aide], my rap palate has greatly improved. Jay-Z used to be sort of what predominated, but now I’ve got a little Nas and a little Lil Wayne and some other stuff, but I would not claim to be an expert. Malia and Sasha are now getting old enough to where they start hipping me to things. Music is still a great source of joy and occasional solace in the midst of what can be some difficult days.” (Rolling Stone)

In the past, Jay-Z revealed that he was also one of the president’s personal favorites.

Rapper Jay-Z said President Barack Obama was among his biggest fans and that he frequently played the artist’s explicit tunes while exercising, it was reported Friday. The 10-time Grammy award winner said in an interview with U.K. broadcaster the BBC that the President enjoyed working up a sweat to the sounds of Jay-Z’s latest album, Blueprint 3. “Barack loves hip hop. When I called him he was playing Blueprint in the gym,” the star said. (My Fox)

B.o.B.’s performance marked the kick-off of a three-day series.

The rapper will perform at a special gig that will mark the start of the three day summit, which will also feature a speech fromObama. The summit is designed to “cultivate and empower a rising generation of leaders for the Democratic Party,” and runs from September 30 to October 2, 2010. B.o.B has gone from strength to strength in the last year or so with hit singles ‘Airplanes’ and ‘Nothin’ On You’ making him a household name. (Undercover)
