Southern rapper Petey Pablo was reportedly arrested Saturday (September 11) morning at a North Carolina airport on gun related charges.

Details on his arrest have begun to circulate online.

Raleigh-Durham International Airport spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin says 37-year-old Petey Pablo — whose real name is Moses Barrett III — was arrested Saturday morning. He is charged with being a felon with a gun and carrying a concealed, stolen weapon. Hamlin says Transportation Security Administration agents found a gun in the rapper’s carry-on luggage. Despite the seriousness behind what went down, Pablo has reportedly been released on bail.

According to cops, Pablo was busted at Raleigh-Durham International Airport — he was allegedly on his way to Los Angeles and the MTV Video Music Awards. We’re told the rapper was going through security and the gun was spotted in his carry-on bag — security then called airport police. Pablo, real name Moses Barrett III, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. We’re told he posted $50,000 and was released. Although he did not address the situation, Pablo was spotted on Twitter tweeting today.

“D*mmmmmmn 9/11 what I do….,” he tweeted.

As of late, the producer/rapper has been working with Timbaland.

Pablo currently resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where he is working under his own label: Carolina Music Group, or CMG. His new album, A&R: Anticipated Recordings is scheduled to be released in 2010. He released the first single from the new album on July 22, 2010 entitled “Go”, produced by Timbaland. (Wikipedia)
