Bang believes thanks to artists like Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj, rap lyrics are beginning to hold more weight again.

“No question, I would definitely produce [Cory Gunz’s] single,” Bang said in an interview when asked about working with Cory Gunz in the future. “People like [Lil] Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye [West] and Drake [are] bringing lyrics back to the game. I would love to be a part of their future.” (VIBE)

In January, rap veteran Nas credited the likes of Kanye West and Drake for helping the state of hip-hop.

“Nicki Minaj, Drake, [Rick] Ross and Kanye just came to just kill it off,” Nas said in an interview. “You know, they did they thing. They kept this thing alive. Man, you know, if [my music didn’t inspire other artists] then I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. I know what I did. People like Kanye is brilliant, so when Kanye is out there doing his thing, he’s entertaining all audiences and he’s keeping it hip-hop at the same time. Nobody does that but him.” (Rap Fix)

Recently, Bangladesh spoke to SOHH about his admiration toward G-Unit’s Lloyd Banks.

“Lloyd’s got a talent that he can go far with and he’s really a dope rapper. I love all of his music, but I just want to hear him on some other beats sometimes. I want to hear him go outside the box. Lloyd Banks has always been good. I always felt Lloyd Banks was great. Hopefully if he reads this we can get it in and sh*t. I want to get with Banks so we can make some smash hits. I f*ck with Lloyd.” (SOHH Guest Star)

Last year, Bang told SOHH he was looking to work with Nas on some new music.

“I just do what I would like to hear from him,” Bang said referring to putting together beats for Nas. “I’m a super Nas fan. I’ve been a Nas fan since he came out. Since the first song. With me being a producer and me having my sound, I would like to hear him on harder beats, more 808-driven, just more aggression. With a Nas record, typically to me, the songs will make the track good. It’s not the track that makes the song good and that’s what I want to bring. I want to bring the track and the song so that you’re not only jamming to the beat with the words on it, but you can jam to the beat and the words and you can jam to the acapella with no beat to it. I think he’s a great songwriter but sometimes his beats aren’t as good as his songs. I want to bring that element where it’s more aggressive, more heavy, something that’s going to pay more attention to Nas in an area where he doesn’t get looked at a lot.” (SOHH)
