With so much talk about rappers getting and removing tattoos as of late, SOHH previously spoke to Houston's Paul Wall to learn more about his own ink-enhancing product called "Tattoo Detox".

Wall said his tattoo product helps heal and ultimately remove toxins found in body ink.

“It’s a product called “Tattoo Detox”. Most tattoo inks have different kinds of chemicals in them and some people might have an allergic reaction to or some tattoos take longer time to heal than others,” Wall told SOHH. “This little product takes all of the little toxins and poisons out of there. My mom and dad be into all of the New-Age type of stuff so my pops found this product and said, ‘Man, we ought to invest in this,’ and we did. It takes the toxins out of the ink. It don’t make it fade, it actually helps it heal a little bit better and makes you feel better. So that’s the good thing. The only concern I ever had was if it was going to mess up how my tattoo looked. Of course, it doesn’t at all. It actually makes it feel better. That’s been going pretty well for us so far.” (SOHH)

In 2008, details of Wall’s tattoo power move hit the Internet.

The new product “Tattoo Detox” is the latest addition to his Grills line specially formulated to combat heavy metals and cleanse the blood. Aiming to help eliminate the toxins found in tattoo ink, it is taken orally and is said to leave the tats in perfect condition. “I love my tattoos, but I was really upset to find out tattoo ink contains toxic metals,” Paul said in the statement. “Fortunately I found Tattoo Detox, and it’s all good now. I can get as many tats as I want and a few drops of Tattoo Detox a day keeps me feeling great.” (Press Release)

Last week, newly signed Bad Boy Records artist Machine Gun Kelly said he had no plans of inking his face with tattoos.

“Nah dude, nah, no ice creams on my face,” Kelly told SOHH referring to rapper Gucci Mane‘s publicized face ink. “I’m trying to score those movie roles, man. I’m trying to be on the big screen like I’m f*cking Ronald Reagan, f*cking Harrison Ford. [laughs] I mean, hmmm… Tom Cruise. Leonardo DiCaprio. As soon as I lay the major movie role where I’m satisfied, like, never having to be in a movie again, I’m going to tattoo the sh*t out of my whole body.” (SOHH)

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane caught eyes earlier this year after inking a ice cream cone on his face.

SO ICEY! Gucci Mane hopped up out of rehab/mental facility a couple days ago. And he may need to demand a refund. Dude visited Tenth Street Tattoo in Atlanta today. And got this brand new little nugget of classiness–a big *ss ice cream cone complete with color, 3 scoops and the word “Brrr”–covering his whole right facial cheek. Wow. Tattoo artist and owner of the shop, Shane Willoughby, is the artist behind Gucci’s newest tattoo addition. And the master piercer in the shop–Jason Murray–tweeted the pics. (The YBF)
