According to reports, SB faces misdemeanor charges of unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm.

Soulja was pulled over last January after cops stopped the car in which he was riding and discovered a loaded gun under the passenger seat. He was arrested on the spot, but the investigation took months. The rapper claimed his neighbor was the culprit … he had borrowed the car and stashed the Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver under the bucket seat of the Panamera. (TMZ)

SB talked about spending time in jail right here…

Asked to reflect on a jail stint related to the incident, SB said he was back to focusing on music-making.

“I feel like, I ain’t gonna say I was mad, but I just felt like, I don’t know. I feel like it shouldn’t happen to me,” Soulja said in an interview. “I got a lot going on with me; I’m just trying to focus and just do me. I don’t know, man! It is what it is, though. I respect the law and all that sh*t. It is what it is. I don’t care. I’m all good now though. Gucci.” (XXL Mag)

Past reports revealed Soulja Boy only spent a few days behind bars.

Rapper Soulja Boy is a free man again after serving a few days behind bars on a gun charge. Soulja Boy checked into a detention centre on Thursday (20Feb14), but it appears he was granted an early release as he was back on his Twitter.com blog on Sunday (23Feb14). He shared a photo of himself in a hotel room and, in a series of subsequent tweets, he wrote, “We Made It. Keep working.” (Contact Music)

SB broke the big jail news to millions of Twitter followers in February.

“5 more days until I go to jail. Appreciate everyone who was there for me while I needed y’all.,” SB tweeted February 15. (Soulja Boy Tell Em’s Twitter)

  1. He shoulda gone through the steps to legally carry a weapon then he wouldn’t have to deal with this now. I don’t think he’s a previous felon.
