The new track landed online heading into the weekend and features both OutKast members doing what they do best.

Big and ‘Dre are are top-tier solo MCs without question. Still, nothing will ever replace the authentic chemistry of hearing them feed off one another. There just isn’t. And despite “Pink” not necessarily constituting as “new ‘Kast music,” something is indeed better than nothing. Who knows, possibly in an ideal world where the planets align, this, along with the forthcoming remix to T.I. and 3K’s “Sorry,” a seed may be planted. All paperwork bullsh*t aside, if Big and Stacks want to record new music, they will. If they don’t, they won’t. It’s really just that simple. And while I’m sure they do, my only hope is both realize the magnitude of their bond. Neither want to wake up 15 years from now with the regret, “I wish we would’ve handled that differently.” Just ask Bun B how much this means. (Smoking Section)

Buzz about Boi and Three Stacks possibly linking back up emerged online earlier this month.

Here’s a pleasant surprise for true Outkast fans. Today, Big Boi left enough clues for us to conclude that he will be contributing to a huge upcoming remix. Through Tumblr, he left a photo of some lyrics and the title “Pink Matter,” which is the same Frank Ocean track that features Andre3000. At this point we can’t say if Andre will also record a new verse, but let’s stay hopeful. It’s all about rap reunions in 2013. (spotted at Pitchfork) (Miss Info TV)

Recently, OutKast booking agent Paul Schwartz spoke to SOHH about how impactful a full-fledged reunion tour would be.

“That of course would be great,” Schwartz told SOHH about the dream of getting Big Boi and Andre 3000 reunited for a tour. “No doubt. Lots of people would love that. [laughs] [Big Boi’s] definitely put out good music as a solo artist and continues to play live that way. He’s got a phenomenal live show and he’s continuing and been able to establish his own name.” (SOHH)

Last month, Boi revealed just how much of a close-knit relationship he shares with Andre.

“You know, when we meet behind closed doors – and you get the articles and [it’s] “he said this” and “he said that;” motherf*ckers taking sh*t outta context; they don’t really know us. That’s my brother. He comes to my house; our kids play together. They play video games and we sit and listen to music and just catch up. But, that’s out of the public eye. But when you been with a guy since the tenth grade, we don’t have to see each other every day. And we don’t have to make records all of the time; we got a catalog that’s unprecedented. And, when he ready to do a full ‘Kast record together, then that’ll happen. But until then, ain’t no problems or nothing and the music [I make] is still gonna sound out of this world.” (HHDX)
