Omarion’s debt reportedly dates back to 2003.

Too bad R&B singer Omarion is a judge, not a contestant, on “America’s Best Dance Crew,” because the show’s $100,000 prize could come in handy. He owes $110,585 in federal taxes to the IRS, according to public records. The IRS filed a $35,210 lien against Omarion on May 18 with the Orange County (Calif.) Recorder of Deeds. The IRS filed a $25,660 lien Oct. 29, 2009, in Orange County. The IRS filed a $49,715 lien Aug. 6, 2009, with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds. He owes income taxes from 2003, 2005 and 2006, according to the lien. (Detroit News)

Last year, Omarion talked about parting ways with Lil Wayne‘s label in summer 2009.

“It feels amazing,” Omarion expressed. “Amazing, and the reason why it feels amazing is because I would have never thought at 25 I would have the opportunity to be in this position. A lot of artists, and I’m guilty of this too, it’s like when you get into a habit of a regiment, like going on tour, hitting the stage, getting off, going to the hotel, next city, hit the stage, getting off, it can really put you in a box of not thinking about your future. So at different times, I was at that time in my career where I was cool with everything and when you look at movies like [Michael Jackson‘s] This Is It, your peers, they never wanna stop, they want to keep going, what’s the next thing? So with me, I’m happy to be the captain of my ship and to be able to keep going.” (The Cost Mag)

O previously explained why Timbaland did not land a production spot on his latest album, Ollusion.

“Timbaland had so much on his plate,” Omarion recalled in an interview. “And when I saw I couldn’t have the relationship I wanted to have with him, I knew it wasn’t the home for me. With Young Money, it was getting close to the end of the year, and I wanted to build momentum for the first quarter. Wayne had other plans, though…he’s the captain of his ship. Everyone was speculating that I was out for the count, but I never sweat. Stepping out as an entrepreneur was the smartest thing I could do.” (Billboard)

The project landed on the sales chart last January.

Former Young Money artist Omarion’s Ollusion debuted on the charts this week landing a spot at No. 19. After seven days in stores, the singer’s solo effort stands at 19,400 scanned discs. (Sales Wrap)
