Odd Future frontmen Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt have shared their thoughts on the Solange Knowles elevator fight seen across the world and explained why the R&B diva is nothing less than awesome. #TeamSolange
In Tyler’s perspective, Solange is unlike most high-profile celebrities and very down to earth.
“You know why Solange is awesome? I met her before and she’s just herself and she’s cool and she likes regular sh*t. By the way, Solange, your song ‘Crush’ has been one of my favorite songs for years,” Tyler said. “[The fight?] It’s entertaining, but whatever.” … “She had something to get off chest,” Sweatshirt added. This week, actress Jennifer Lopez said the world will not know the truth unless Solange or Jay Z speak out.
“I don’t know. You can’t speculate what’s going on but what I do know about being in the public eye is that you never know the real story and you never will unless somebody decides to share it. But if you saw a fight on the street right here, wouldn’t you want to know what happened? … We’re just nosy. People are just nosy. And you just gotta know that when you’re in this business and just roll with the punches.” (Hot 97)
G-Unit head 50 Cent posted up a portion of the fight footage to his Instagram account and also narrated it earlier this week.
“Now what was that slick sh*t you said? Nah, nah, f*ck that Marcy sh*t. N*gga, this Houston! Get the f*ck off of me! You gonna get your a** kicked, n*gga. Don’t you never in your life try to do your f*ck sh*t. I will f*ck you up! I will f*ck you up! I’m cool, I just had to check a n*gga.”
“Family Matters, jay you did the right thing keep cool.lol #smsaudio #animalambitionFollowing”
“Ok I ain’t gonna forget this sh!t. #smsaudio #animalambition” (50 Cent’s Instagram)
Although not as direct as Fif, Jay’s one-time business partner Dame Dash posted up a photo of Solange and noted her fighter-like image.
“Forgot about this one @ava_dash @atrak and solange …I am actually impressed with her independent spirit… She seems like a fighter #festivallife” (Dame Dash’s Instagram)
