Diehard Notorious B.I.G. fans will get a chance to see him perform this year in an upcoming music video for R&B singer Faith Evans.
While details are still scarce, ARHT Media founder Rene Bharti has confirmed speculated Biggie Smalls hologram reports.
The first order of business for the Biggie Humagram is a music video appearance for the first single off Faith Evans’ duets compilation titled The King & I. Last month, the Brooklyn MC’s former wife revealed on Dame Dash’s radio show that a potential hologram tour was in the works, which Bharti confirms. “What we’re gonna start with is a video with the first single from The King & I then I think Faith wants to do a little tour,” he says. Last month, Evans talked about putting together their The King And I joint album and possibly performing alongside a Biggie hologram.
“Right now I’m actually recording this project, a duet project with me and Big, called The King And I. It’s something I’ve been thinking and doing for a while with [Big’s mom] Ms. Wallace – I’m in the finishing stages. I had no idea how I was going to even go about it but it’s been coming along pretty awesome. … If he were alive, we would have done something like this. … We’re actually in development with a hologram [company] but I don’t necessarily know to what extent I’m going to perform with it but I definitely want to debut it probably with the first video from the album and use it a little bit performance-wise and that depends on a lot of things. It’s expensive. … If this Bad Boy tour ever really happens, it might be something that really happens.”
Faith released a couple Instagram posts on the album title back in January.
According to reports, Evans and rap veteran Snoop Dogg have a new track on deck for the project coming together.
Faith is recording “The King and I” for her late husband … and she invited Snoop to join her in studio on Wednesday to record a track. No word on what song they’re doing, but this session comes 5 years after their last song together, “Way You Move.” (TMZ)
