Atlanta duo Ying Yang Twins are not done paying homage to pop singer Miley Cyrus and have hired a lookalike for their upcoming "Miley Cyrus" music video.
New teaser footage from the Cyrus ode clip surfaced online this week.
Miley Cyrus is NOT in the Ying Yang Twins music video tribute to her bootyful backside — so they got the next best thing … an impersonator with serious ass shaking skills! TMZ obtained a clip from the Twins’ new video for “Miley Cyrus” featuring a twerked out look-alike in a unicorn onesie — an obvious parody of the singer’s popular YouTube clip. The whole video is set to drop soon — and our spies on set say the impersonator actually gives M.C. a run for her money in the badonkadonk department. Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap. (TMZ)
This week, Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy Tell Em released his Cyrus-inspired “Twerkin’ Like Miley” antem online.
Soulja Boy (@SouljaBoy) channels Miley Cyrus (@mileycyrus), who’s became the latest snow bunny sensation since shaking free of her Hannah Montana shackles and crossing over to the artificially ratchet fixture she’s become to the rap game. Miley Cyrus is going to be a focus of a lot of rappers after Jay Z shouted her out on Magna Carta Holy Grail. (DDOTOMEN)
Last month, Jay Z shared his feelings on the twerking sensation.
“Miley’s serious, I like what she’s doing right now,” Jay said. “She’s fearless, just being herself — I think it’s more reaction from people wanting her to be ‘Hannah Montana.’ I don’t know, [it’s just from me] watching the situation I would say people want her to be something and she’s like, ‘I’m not that.’ …. That must be really frustrating and this is her reaction to it. Of course it’s loud but it’s understandable. [Miley Cyrus coming to Roc Nation?] Hey, there’s room on the roster. Recently, Ying Yang Twins’ D-Roc spoke to SOHH about the overnight popularity of twerking especially with hotties like Miley Cyrus publicly showing off their booty-shaking skills.
“I look at it like everybody’s showing love for us starting something that everybody loves. The only thing I can really say about it is we need to come back and show them how to really do it. Everybody just took it and went with it, turning it into something else but they’re not doing it right. When you do it right, you expect that. Everybody’s just playing with it right now. In the same twerk songs, they’re too hard, they’re doing too much. It’s supposed to be about the female and what you’re supposed to do is get them to shake that a**. They need to know how to shake their a**. The thing about it is they tell a female what to do but they do it too hard at the same time. You look at them and they look like they’re not supposed to be doing it. They talk to the girl like they would talk to a n*gga, like, “I’ll beat your a**, start shaking that a**.” I’m like, “God d*mn.” What do you want to do, fight her or have her shake her a**?” (SOHH)
